POS INTEGRATION CHEAT SHEET

1. OPEN ARCHITECTURE (Easy to integrate)
- Micros (Requires IP payments interface)
- Aloha (Requires external gateway like Shift4)
- Revel Systems (Generally open to agnostic processors)

2. CLOSED/HOSTILE ARCHITECTURE (Hard to rip out)
- Toast (Forces merchants into Toast Processing. Pitching against Toast requires a full system replacement).
- Square (Closed loop. You must replace the hardware).
- Shopify POS (Charges a massive penalty fee if the merchant uses an external gateway).

AGENT TACTIC:
Never ask "Who is your processor?"
Ask: "What software are you running your inventory/kitchen on?"
The POS dictates what processors you can actually sell.
